Departure
formalities are straightforward.
Twenty-four
hours notice is required before departure. Call the Department of
Transportation at 488-4224 to inform them of your pending departure.
Customs and Immigration officials will meet you at Sam’s Tours on departure day
at an agreed time. They will need your passports and ship’s papers. Processing
only takes a few minutes plus payment of the “Green Fee” of $35/person. Upon
receiving onward clearance, the vessel must immediately depart Palau waters. Anchoring or mooring in Palau following clearance is
prohibited and strictly enforced.
